Brenda Dianne Jones-Wallen

MANSON- Mrs. Brenda Dianne Jones-Wallen, 66, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at UNC Hospital.

Mrs. Wallen was born March 12, 1955 to the late Talton and Elsie Wood, Sr. in Durham, NC. She was a member of Riverside Independent Baptist Church for over 30 years. Mawmaw enjoyed cooking, caring for her husband, loving her family and was being strong with her faith. Mawmaw was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wallen is preceded in death by her husband, James Warren Jones; grandchildren, Erika Crain, Brenda Crain and Steven Crain, Jr.; brothers, Talton Wallace Wood, Jr.; brother-in-law, Chuck Howerton; sister-in-law, Sandra Wood.

Mrs. Wallen is survived by her husband, Ronnie Lee Wallen; sons, Bobby Clifton Crabtree (Jennifer), Anthony Otis Jones (Samantha); daughter, Mary Crain (Steve); sisters, Monnie Oldham (Eddie), Donnie Wood (Carlton), Fay Howerton, Kay Hurst (Carlton); grandchildren, Jason Crabtree (Crystal), C.J. Crabtree, Vanessa Crabtree and fiancé Benjamin, Sarah Ownby (Jon), Josh Crain, Jessica Crain (Joshua), Jamie Schunke (Dallas), Maddison Collins and Abbie Jackson; great-grandchildren, Shane Jones, Bentley Jones, Shaea Jones, Henry Schunke, Samuel Schunke, Liam Crabtree, Mason Abney and Ady Abbott.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Riverside Independent Baptist Church, 4601 Guess Road, Durham, NC 27712. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Riverside Independent Baptist Church, 4601 Guess Road, Durham, NC 27712. Officiating will be Pastor Chase Green and Brother Jimmy Jones. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
