Bruce William Street

TIMBERLAKE Mr. Bruce William Street, 82, of Timberlake, died on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. He was the son of the late James Newton Street and Lillian Blalock Street. He served in the Korean War. He retired from Sperry Rand. He was a member of Somerset Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Hazel Street Blackwood, Evelyn Nichols and brother, James Bernice Street. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ruth Walker Street; one daughter, Janice Street Ellis (Billy); one grandson, Taylor William Ellis; sister, Trenis Street Bennett (Harold) and a brother, Rev. Thomas Street (Jeanette).Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Hugh O’Shields will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Jack Ellis, Jr., John Willard, Jr., Taylor Ellis, Billy Ellis and David Jones.The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
