Callie Mae Ellis Fisher

DURHAM God called one of his angels home. Mrs. Callie Mae Ellis Fisher, 84, of Durham, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 11, 2014.
Mrs. Fisher was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late Otha Ellis and Callie Roberts Ellis. She retired from Durham Hosiery Mills after 20 years. She was an active member of Olive Branch Baptist Church. She loved to cook and served many of her church members, through the years.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ross Odom Fisher; brothers, Herbert Ellis and Ray Ellis of Durham; sisters, Marie Paschall, Jenny Adcock and Elaine Medlin all of Durham.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Tim Wheeler will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ricky Rigsbee, Steve Mishue, David Johnson, Ken Everhart, George Pearce and Randy Fisher.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service at Hudson Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable.
