DURHAM-Mrs. Carolyn “Jean” Williams, 81, of Durham died on Saturday, November 03, 2012. She was the daughter of the late William C. Partin and Ruth Burnette Partin. She retired from BCBS of N.C. as a Supervisor of Claims Research. Mrs. Williams was a Charter Member of Farrington Road Baptist Church, also an avid fan of the UNC Tarheel Women’s Basketball. She is survived by her husband Clyde J. Williams, one son, Thomas Williams (Glenda), one sister, Minerva Whitfield (Wade), one grandson, Travis Williams, one granddaughter, Gina Hensley (Preston), one great-granddaughter, Scarlett Hensley, several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Farrington Road Baptist Church, 5936 Farrington Road, Chapel Hill. Rev. Jason Hughes and Rev. Jim Greenlee will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery in Pittsboro at 3:30 p.m. Hudson Funeral Home will assist the family. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. one hour prior to the service at the Church.
