Carolyn Ray Kearns

KEARNSDURHAM Mrs. Carolyn Ray Kearns, 75, of Durham, died on Monday, May 23, 2011, while on vacation in Wilmington.Mrs. Kearns was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late Walter Glen Ray and Bettie Irene Griffin Ray. She retired from GTE as a supply clerk. She was a member of Guess Road Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vance M. Kearns Jr. She is survived by two sons, Donald Kearns and wife, Debra and Ronald Kearns and wife, Teresa; one sister, Barbara Duncan and husband, Jim; grandson, Mathew Kearns; granddaughters, Lindsey Kearns and Meaghan Kearns and a cousin, Eleanor Deering.A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
