Charles Brian Porter

RALEIGH- Charles “Brian” Porter, 57, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021.

Brian was born March 9, 1964 to Charlie and Jean Porter in Guildford Co., NC. He was happily married for 32 years to his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Amanda Pollock Porter.  Brian always put his family first and was the hardest working man.  Brian’s proudest title was dad.  He was last year upgraded to Pops and has been the greatest Pops to his grandson Camden.  Brian was involved in every step of planning the wedding for his baby girl Morgan, and was looking forward to walking her down the aisle in October knowing that Spencer, the love of her life, had asked him for her hand.

He was a member of Crossroads Fellowship and served on their parking committee and was a part of a small group.  Brian received a Presidential Award with Teleflex Medical.  He enjoyed sports, especially golf and was an avid ECU fan.  Brian loved to dance and sing karaoke as well as taking beach trips with his family and living his life to the fullest.

Brian is survived by his parents; Charlie and Jean Porter: his loving wife Amanda Porter; daughters, McKenzie Porter Merriman and her husband Brad Merriman; daughter Morgan Ashley Porter and son in law Spencer Warren; grandson Camden Merriman and sister-in-law Deborah Clayton and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Monday, May 10, 2021 from 6-8pm at Hudson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Porter, Brad Merriman, Spencer Warren, Brent Clayton, Troy Ferguson, Chandler Ferguson and Jeff Haggerty. Honorary pallbearers will be Travis Pollock,  Jerry Clayton, and Wayne Evans.

Flowers are acceptable.
