Charles Freeman Huffines

DURHAM Mr. Charles Freeman Huffines, 66, of Durham, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 8, 2018.Charles was born in Guilford County, the son of the late Hasley Freeman Huffines and Carolyn Delores Nesbit Huffines. He was a former employee of UNC Hospital and the County of Durham where he worked in Maintenance. Charles loved family reunions, church homecomings and earlier years he enjoyed Square Dancing. He had many friends and loved to talk on the phone. He was a member of Yates Baptist Church. Charles lived life to the fullest and will be remembered as a caring and loving husband, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Faye Huffines.He is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Linda Martin Huffines; sister, Joyce Gunn and husband, George; nephew, Donald Campbell and niece, Leslie Cooper.Memorial services will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Ernest Ferrell will officiate.Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Alliance Behavioral Healthcare, 414 E.
