Charles Douglas Nichols Jr.

DURHAM- Mr. Charles Douglas Nichols, Jr., 89, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2020.
Mr. Nichols was born on September 26, 1930 to Charles and Stella Nichols in Durham, NC. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was an avid racing fan and raced at local round tracks. Charles was a NASCAR fan and especially enjoyed watching Richard Petty. He loved operating his Bobcat. Charles will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
Mr. Nichols was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Stella Nichols; brothers, Henry Nichols and Baxter Nichols; sisters, Edna Page and Alta Louise Overman. He is survived by his daughter, Charlene Nichols of Durham, NC; and grandchild, Adam Riley of Durham, NC.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Flowers are acceptable.
