Charles Robert (Bobby) White, Sr.

DURHAM Mr. Charles “Bobby” Robert White, Sr., 80 of 2911 Summerlin Road, died on Tuesday, January 14, 2013.Mr. White was a native and lifelong resident of Durham , the son of the late John Edward White and Luna Tilley White Bailey. He served in the U. S. Army National Guard and retired from Duke University in the Maintenance Dept. He was a member of Glenn School Road Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betsy Sheppard.He is survived by his wife, Ruby Davis White, two sons, Charles White, Jr. and Andy White and wife, Allison; one daughter, Teresa White Snider and husband, Chuck; three sisters, Becky Glenn, Judy Young and Jeannie Walters; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, officiated by Rev. Charles Wilson. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home, 2911 Summerlin Road.
