CHANDLER, JR.DURHAM Mr. Charles Thomas “Tommy” Chandler, Jr., 81, a resident of JFK Towers, died at the Carver Living Center on Friday, October 14, 2011.Mr. Chandler a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of the late Charles Thomas Chandler, Sr. and Flonnie Barnett Chandler. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Mead Containers/ Weyerhaeuser. He is survived by two sisters, Marie C Pierce and Dorothy C. Stephens both of Durham; his dog “Molly” and two nephews, Mike A. Stephens and wife, Debbie of Durham and Larry W. Stephens and wife Pat of Raleigh.Graveside services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens. Pastor Jack Cox and Rev. Dale Brooks will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
