Donald Lee Baker

FRANKLINTON Mr. Donald Lee Baker, 36, of Franklinton, died on Tuesday, February 07, 2012.Mr. Baker was a native of Durham. He was a former employee of Duke Medical Center as a Duke Health Systems Supervisor. He was a volunteer fireman with the Franklinton and the Eno Volunteer Fire Departments and also a member of the NC State Fireman’s Association. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Riley Batten; paternal grandparents, Wilber “Red” Baker and Mary Lou Harward Baker. He is survived by his parents, Clifton and Jacqueline Baker of Durham; maternal grandfather, Jack Donald Batten of Bracey, Va.; uncles, Danny Batten, Rick Baker and Rob Baker and aunts, Kathy Davis, Kellie Cheek, Cindy Baker and Angela McLean and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 12 noon at the First Assembly of God, 1034 Hamlin Road, Durham, NC 27704.
