Donald Pinkston

DURHAM-Donald McIver Pinkston, JR., 82, of Durham died on Friday, July 29, 2011. He was the son of the late Donald McIver Pinkston, SR. and Hattie Viola Walters Pinkston. Mr. Pinkston served in the US Navy and was a member of the Naval Reserve. He retired from Durham Housing Authority as an electrician. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Snowdean H. Pinkston and sister Catherine McCall.He is survived by his daughter, Paula Dean Hart of Raleigh; two sons, Donald McIver Pinkston, III of Apex; Matthew Len Hilliard-Pinkston of Durham; one sister Barbara McGraw of Lexington, Kentucky; one grandson, Donald McIver Pinkston IV and one granddaughter, Carrie Michelle Pinkston. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Phil Quails will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
