DURHAM Dorothy “Dot” Hodges Page Driver 85 passed away on Thursday, January, 17, 2013, after battling Parkinson’s Disease for many years. She was born on November 14, 1927 to William Edgar Hodges and Iola Barbee Hodges.She was preceded in death by her husband Emerson Page; sister, Estelle Hodnett Vaughn and brother, Aubrey Hodges.She is survived by her husband Harold Lloyd Driver of the home, daughter, Cheryl Page Caddell (Jim). Dot was grandmother (Nana) to Kyle Caddell. She was stepmother to Gwen Driver Johnson (Jim), Brad Driver (Frankie) of Raleigh and Jeff Driver of Clemmons.She graduated from Bethesda High School and married Emerson Page in 1946. Together they owned and operated Page’s Furniture Shop in Bethesda for over 30 years. They also raised and boarded horses at their farm on Page Road for many years. Dot was a charter member of Page Road Baptist Church, where she served faithfully since 1967.The funeral will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Page Road Baptist Church in Durham, officiated by the Rev. Michael Bond and Dr. Charles B. Parker, Jr. Interment will be in Raleigh Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Larry Howard, Larry Sparrow, Lamond Hodges, Brad Driver, Jim Johnson and Jeff Driver.The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home.The family would also like to thank Jane Rhew and Helen (Libby) Smith for the loving and compassionate care they have provided for the past two years.
