Cathy Holsey left a message on January 19, 2022:
As a child growing up in Durham, our family had the blessing of knowing Edgar Rose and his family. We all attended the Gospel Center, in Durham, and were a part of the ministries there. Edgar stood out as a man known for his kindness, quick smile, and heart for others. As a young child, I noticed this kindness and care, especially blessing us children at the Gospel Center--and saw his compassion extending into the Durham community with all, whom he would meet, on his daily postal delivery route. In his retirement years, Edgar, along with his wife Jean, continued to bless others with kindness, love, and friendship, as residents of Pittsboro Christian Village. With my mom, now living at the Village, I would often run into Edgar on visits and stop for a time of catching up with him. Edgar always had a smile and a way of letting me, and others, whom he knew, that God was the joy of his life. He faithfully shared this joy with those whom God would place in his path daily. Edgar walked this earth in a way that inspired others. I am so grateful for this man of God, who showed us all how to live a life--full of grace and kindness, with the love of Jesus inside one's heart--devoted and faithful to his God. His legacy continues and is carried now in the lives of his family, whom he loved and blessed so dearly. Our love and prayers are with you all now, Cathy Holsey and family

We were saddened to hear of Edgar's passing. However, we know that it is also a time of rejoicing, as he is with the Lord forever. We were blessed to have known him during his time at PCV. He will be missed. We regret that we didn't get to see him one more time before he graduated to heaven. Our love to the family, David and Lynn Mcburnett
Planning ahead is prudent. Call us now.
