DURHAM- Mrs. Edith Ann Cook, 84, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at Hock Family Pavilion.
Mrs. Cook was born November 6, 1932 in Syracuse, NY to the late Hobert and Hazel Wilcox. Mrs. Cook was a presently a member of the Cary Central Congregation in Cary, NC and an active member with Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 60 years in Syracuse, NY. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and will be deeply missed by everyone blessed to have known her.
Mrs. Cook is preceded in death by her parents, Hobert and Hazel Wilcox; sister, Eleanor Balcomb.
Mrs. Cook is survived by her husband of 66 years, Joseph X. Cook; sons, Ricky H. Cook (Elizabeth), James W. Cook (Lois); daughter, Rebecca Bergsbaken (Kurt); 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 2107 Liberty Street, Durham, NC 27703.
