PENNYDURHAM Mrs. Ethel Lynn Penny, 49, of 6118 Wake Forest Hwy, died on Wednesday, September 12, 2012.Mrs. Penny was a self-employed Daycare owner. She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Mickey Cotter and a brother, Jimmy Adkins.She is survived by her husband, Bobby Penny; two sons, Chris Lynn of Newport News, Va. and Micheal Penny of Durham; one daughter, Amanda Penny of Durham; her mother, Patsy Cotter of Stem; two brothers, Johnny Adkins and wife, Brenda and Rick Horricks both of Columbus, Ohio; one sister, Peggy Jones and husband, Sidney of Haverhill, Mass. and grandson, Jayden Gray.Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel, officiated by Rev. Hugh O’Shields. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Bobby Penny, Chris Lynn, Micheal Penny, Charles Crank, Charles Pleasants, Sidney Jones, Ed Finch and Phillip Penny.The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home, 6118 Wake Forest Hwy.
