Frederick Phillip Schmidt

DURHAM-Mr. Frederick Phillip Schmidt, 71, of Durham died on Sunday, June 29, 2014. He was the son of the late Alvin L. Schmidt and Nellie Virginia Schmidt. He was owner and operator of JSC Parts LLC, retired after 17 years as Service Manager for a printing company, he loved hunting, fishing and cooking. He was preceded in death by twin grandchildren, Charlotte and Charmain.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joyce Erwin Schmidt, two sons, Frederick P. Schmidt Jr. and wife, Ruth of Durham; John R. Schmidt and wife, Holly of Philadelphia PA; one daughter, Donna Lynn Frailey and husband, Daniel of Irvona, PA.; two brothers, Leslie Schmidt and Allen Schmidt, two sisters, Brenda Stiver and Diane Peck, six grandchildren, Ashley Hagens, Kim Forster, Colleen Sward, Aaron Frailey, Kristen Schmidt and Courtney Schmidt, five great-grandchildren, Aaralyn Sward, JJ Sward, Brady and Bryson Hagens, Emerson Forster.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 12:00 noon at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Jason Tovey will officiate.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, one hour prior to the services at Hudson Funeral Home.
