Geraldine Janet Moore Allen

ALLENDURHAM Mrs. Geraldine Janet Moore Allen, 78, of Durham, died on Tuesday, January 18, 2011.Mrs. Allen was born in Johnston County but lived most of her life in Durham. She was the daughter of the late William and Ruth Stephenson Moore. She retired form King’s Red and White as a cashier. She was of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Allen. She is survived by her three daughters, Pam Watkins (Jerry) of Creedmoor, Pat Meredith (Matthew), of Durham and Paula Crabtree of Creedmoor; three sisters, Dorothy Flowers of Durham, Barbara Paschall and Betty Knott both of Morehead; 10 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Jay Pegram. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Pat Meredith. Flowers are acceptable.
