James “Tommy” Vaughan

ROUGEMONT Mr. James Cleveland “Tommy” Vaughan, 79, of Rougemont, died on Wednesday, January 10, 2018.Mr. Vaughan was born in Durham, the son of the late Edward Cleveland and Molly Vaughan. He owned and operated Vaughan Insulation Company. He was a member of Abundant Life Church in Hillsborough. Tommy loved to Shag and won a Myrtle Beach Shag Competition.He is survived by his son, Kevin Vaughan and wife, Lisa of Ebony, Va.; daughter, Kimberly Vaughan Allison and husband, Rodney of Durham; brother, Harold Vaughan of Durham; four grandchildren, Lauren Allison Owens (David), Morgan Kinsley Allison, Zachary Thomas Vaughan and Matthew Tyler Vaughan; two great-grandchildren, Taylor Grace Owens and Weston William Owens.Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Vernon Wilkerson will officiate. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.The family will receive friends on Friday from 1 to 2 p.m., before the service at Hudson Funeral Home.
