James Ervin Turner

CREEDMOOR Mr. James Ervin Turner, of Creedmoor, went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, January 4, 2018. He was 80 years old and fought a good fight.

Mr. Turner was born in Granville County, the son of the late Robert Henry Turner and Effie Saline Cox. He was a retired Auto Body Mechanic. He was a member of Covenant Life Sanctuary. Mr. Turner enjoyed camping and fishing. He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Turner.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnne Turner; three daughters, Jamie Turner, Lisa Seawell and Cynthia Zito; two sons, Douglas Turner and Ricky Wilson; three step-daughters, Teresa Dezern, Wanda Wilson and Tammy Cohen; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Justin Turner Cothran, Carlos Cruz, Randy Fletcher, Travis Ennis, Adam Howerton, Freddy Howerton. Honorary Pallbearer will be William Finch.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel.  Rev. David Edward will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
