Jared Paul Williams

WILLIAMSRALEIGH Jared Williams, age 14, of Raleigh, died on Monday, September 27, 2010, after injuries sustained in an automobile accident.Jared was born on December 10, 1995 in Durham, to Ronald and Angella Emery Williams. He attended Oak Grove and Gorman Christian Academy during elementary school. He was homeschooled during middle school and was currently a freshman at Neuse Christian Academy in Raleigh. He was a member of Gorman Baptist Church and received Christ as his Savior at age 9. Jared was passionate about sports especially basketball. He would play B-ball anytime anywhere and with anyone. He knew no strangers. He had many loving friends and teammates from NRBC, HCU, Raleigh Hawks, Gorman community, Neuse Christian Academy, and his own neighborhood. He had an excitement for life and a smile that was unforgettable. He loved to be with family and friends of all ages especially his cousin Jon. His family will always cherish the short time they had with him and the many unique ways he touched their lives.He was preceded in death by his Grandpa and Granny Williams, W.C. and Nancy Williams; his Grandpa and Grandma Emery, George and Diane Emery.In addition to his parents Jared is survived by his older siblings, Kim Williams Crane and husband, Mark of Atlanta, Ga., Nathan, Sarah and Ryan Williams all of Raleigh and all his uncles, aunts and cousins. A celebration of Jared’s life will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Gorman Baptist Church. Interment will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The family will received friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
