HILLSBOROUGH-Jo Marie Benson Wilkins, 85, of Hillsborough, died on Wednesday, November 21, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Benson and Vida Cornelia Hall Wallace. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Jasper Wilkins, and daughter Karen Diane Wilkins. She retired from Liggett & Myers as a machine operator. She attended the Hillsborough Church Of God.She is survived by three sons, Randy Edward Wilkins, and Johnny Craig Wilkins both of Orange Co.; Efland Brent Wilkins of Johnston Co.; two daughters, Jacqueline George of Hillsborough; Sharon Lee Hardiman of Alabama, one brother, Earl Wallace of Lumberton; three sisters, Mary Poole of Florida; Hazel Poole of Wilmington and Maxine Burnside of Mississippi; 17 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Steve Adams will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable.
