DURHAM Mr. John “Craig” Terrell, 47, of 3315 Summerlin Road, died on Monday, April 7, 2014, after a lengthy illness.
Craig was a native and lifelong resident of Durham. He was employed with Clayton Logging Company as a truck driver. He loved his family, NASCAR and was an avid Carolina fan.
He is survived by his son, Donald “Doug” Terrell of Hillsborough; daughter, Charity Terrell of Hillsborough; his father, Donald William Terrell, Sr. and wife, Bonnie; his mother, Kay Tilley Atlman; brother, Donald William Terrell, Jr. and wife, Rosa of Haw River and step-sister, Angie Bowes of Roxboro.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Hal Dickerson will officiate. Burial will be in the Glenn Family Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Mark Tilley, Frank Simmons, Alex Blackwood, Eddie Dickey, Tengin Oldham and Derrick Carroll.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home, 3315 Summerlin Road. Flowers are acceptable or donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of N.C. at www.kidney.org.
