Rev. Aaron Pewtrers, OSB left a message on January 14, 2021:
Paige, and family: As you well know, John and I have been friends since 1958 when I reported on board the USS Pompon SSR267. It was John who first met me on the boat and we have been friends ever since. We spent a lot of time together on liberty in the Mediterranean and after. He was a fine man filled with faith, kindness, lots of hope, and the fire of the Spirit that can only be attributed to his Native American blood. Paige, you are equally loveable, as is Ann. Sorry John, Jr. I never had the pleasure, but I'm sure you are just like the Sr. I am truly sorry I cannot be there to share in your sorrow and equally your rejoicing in the knowledge that Our Lord has healed all John's infirmities. I am sure he is singing his praises while showering God's blessings on all of you. I will miss John, for sure. I have already offered a mass for John and the family, and all of us in the Abbey are praying for you. Love all of you a bunch. Pete (Fr. Aaron Peters, O.S.B.)

He was a great Christian man and happy our paths crossed. Take good care of yourselves and know you will be remembered in thoughts and prayers. God bless❣️ (Robbie’s sister)❤️✝️🙏
