Although I didn't know Mr. Black, his nephew said such nice things about him and I gather from what I've heard, he was truly a man of God. I know this gives his family much joy as they know where his final resting place is. May you all find peace and comfort knowing he's with his Holy Father.

I worked for Black Industries for 27 years and never knew a harder working man than Buddy Black. He was respectful, honest, and would not ask any of his employees to do something he would not do himself. Buddy was a big part of the utilities being placed underground in the RTP starting in 1965. He worked day and night. Trudy was indeed the love of his life and he was to her too. They made a wonderful couple. I am glad to know that one day I will see Buddy when I get to Heaven. I am sure he has asked the Lord for a job already.

To all the Black family - A hardworking, loving, generous man is in Heaven now with Mona and Matthew. He is rejoicing and as strong as he was at age 25! I remember him coming in from work when I was there spending time with Mona and thinking "that man is a giant in boots that went all the way up to his knees". His girls would all run to him for hugs and to be picked up by their daddy. We will see you again someday soon Mr. Black!
