Kathryn Emory Hersey

TIMBERLAKE- Ms. Kathryn Emory Hersey, 72, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at her home.

Ms. Hersey was born January 27, 1950 to the late George and Effie Emory of Durham, NC. She worked at Duke University for over 25 years. Ms. Hersey enjoyed traveling, taking cruises and visiting casinos. She loved everyone and kept her door open for everyone. Ms. Hersey will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Ms. Hersey is survived by her sons, Scott Moore, Neal Hersey (Victoria Cox); daughter, Jennifer Hersey; brother, Tony Emory (Sharon); sister, JR Weaver (Lenny) and Janet DeHart (Roger); 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held an hour prior from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2022 at Hudson Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Officiating will be Mr. Lenny Weaver.

Flowers are acceptable.
