Kenneth Marshall Murray

HENDERSON Mr. Kenneth Marshall Murray, 69, of Henderson, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.
Mr. Murray was born in Durham and lived most of his life in Efland. He was the son of the late William Jennings Murray and Rose Dixon Renn. Retiring after 26 years from the American Tobacco Company as a Fixer and also from the NC Department of Transportation as a Road Maintenance Supervisor. He was a Union Representative at American Tobacco Company. He was an avid NASCAR racing fan; enjoyed golfing and had several tournament trophies and loved Duke Basketball and Coach K. He is predeceased by his sister, Marilyn Addison.
He is survived by his son, Kyle Elliott Murray of Rougemont; daughter, Melissa Murray Bailey and husband, Harry of Efland; grandchildren, Whitney, Candice and Mackenzie and great-grandchild due in September, Jackson.
Graveside memorial service will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
