Larry Gene Fortner Sr.

DURHAM Mr. Larry Gene Fortner, Sr., 73, of Durham, died on Tuesday, April 23, 2013.Mr. Fortner was born in West Virginia to the late Wonnie and Illene Booth Fortner. He was a retired truck driver for Earl Latta Grading. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Fortner, Jr.He is survived by his girlfriend, Brenda Hobbs; three sons, Billy Fortner of Durham, Donald Wayne Fortner of Burlington and Mark Fortner of Roxboro; one daughter, Margie Cline Hanover of W. Va.; step-daughter, Lola Hobbs of Roxboro; four brothers, Charles Fortner, James Fortner and Dick Fortner all of W. Va. and Ronnie Joe Fortner of Florida; one sister, Pamela Sue Stark of Tenn.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable.
