Linda Marlene Snipes Stansbury

Mrs. Linda Marlene Snipes Stansbury, age 73, passed away on January 15, 2022.

Linda was born on December 7, 1948, in Durham, NC, a daughter of the late John Bunny and Vivian Blackey Snipes. Linda loved decorating her home for every occasion. She loved birthday parties and special events, as long as there was cake involved. Linda loved her family and especially loved playing with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stansbury was preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmy Snipes, Tommy Snipes, Bobby Snipes, and Donnie Snipes; and her sister, Betty Wray.

Mrs. Stansbury is survived by her husband, Bobby Stansbury; son, Bobby Shane Stansbury and fiancée, Abygail Bird; daughter, Angie Melissa Stansbury and fiancé, Ahmed Koubri; brother, Victor Snipes and wife, Susie Snipes; sisters, Gina Geercken and husband, Joey Geercken, and Teresa Brogden and husband, Brent Brogden; grandchildren, Kenneth Vargas, Elijah Vargas, Layth Koubri, and Everleigh Rayne Koubri; as well as many other loving family members.

A visitation will be held Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 24, 2022 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Hugh O’Shields. Burial will follow at Thompson-Snipes Family Cemetery.
