Mabeline Brown Ray

RAYDURHAM Mrs. Mabeline Brown Ray, 83, of Durham, died on Wednesday, June 29, 2011. Mrs. Ray was born in Rougemont to the late Robert Lester Brown and Annie Cole Brown. She retired after 32 years from the N. C. Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital as a Medical Records Technician. She attended Trinity Avenue Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thomas Ray. She is survived by her son, Randy Ray and wife, Bridgett of Durham; daughter, Sheila Harmon and husband, Doug of Durham; two brothers, Knette Brown and wife, Carrie Lee and Billy Brown and wife, Patricia all of Rougemont; two sisters, Mozelle Cagle of Rougemont, Kathleen Daniels of Hillsborough and two grandchildren, Leslie Mazzei of Columbia, S.C. and Ashley Utz of Orlando, Fla. Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Avenue Presbyterian Church, officiated by Pastor Bill Nickels. The family will receive friends on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.Flowers are acceptable.
