Margaret Ferguson

Carteret Co.- Margaret Briggs Ferguson, 94.a former resident of Vacation Village, Cedar Point, NC. died on Saturday, July 2, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Buck Briggs and Cora Holder Briggs. Mrs. Ferguson was of the Baptist Faith and she retired from FCX Farmers Exchange. She was preceded in death by her husband John Ferguson; son, Dewey “Skip” Ferguson.She is survived by one daughter, Hilda Riggs of Swansboro, NC; one sister, Mabel Morris of Durham; nieces, Linda Hatfield husband Adrian, and children Amanda and Robert, Karen Hagwood and husband Mark and children Caleb, Jackson and Connor all of Durham; daughter-in-law, Joyce Ferguson, sister-in-law, Shirley Briggs of Durham.Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Rev. Amanda Hatfield will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12 to 1 p.m., one hour prior to the service at Hudson Funeral Home.
