Margaret Haley King

DURHAM Mrs. Margaret Haley King, 89, of Durham, died on Thursday, September 15, 2011.Mrs. King was a native of Wake County, the daughter of the late Walter C. and Bessie Seymour Haley. Prior to 1946, she worked for Brame Specialty Company as a secretary. She was a member of Plainview Baptist Church and the Redwood Senior Citizen’s Group. She was preceded in death by her husband, Foy Green King and brothers, W. C. Haley Jr., William J. Haley and Rome Haley.She is survived by her four sons, Foy G. King Jr. (Sybil) of Siler City, George H. King (Linda) of Walkertown NC, Clinton King (Janice) of Timberlake and Clay King (Wanda) of Durham; two brothers, Wiley Haley of Raleigh and Ed Haley of Siler City; two sisters, Jean Stanfield of Raleigh and Betty Coble of Apex; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens. Rev. Doug Nalley and Mr. Clyde Edgerton will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
