Margaret Outland LeCouter

DURHAM- Mrs. Margaret Jean Outland LeCouter, 86, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021.

Mrs. LeCouter was born on September 12, 1934 to James and Lalie Outland in Johnston County, NC. She worked as a nanny for several years and enjoyed taking care of children. Margaret loved her family, grandkids and great-grandkids. She will be lovingly remembered by all blessed to have known her.

Mrs. LeCouter was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lalie Outland; her loving husband, Lloyd LeCouter; sons, Mark Stephens and Sidney Stephens; brothers, Robert Outland, James Outland, and Oscar Langley; sister, Dorothy Fine; and grandchildren, Christopher Chamberlain, Lisa McCartney, and Rachael Stephens.

Mrs. LeCouter is survived by her sons, Gerald Stephens (Cindy) of Canada, James Stephens (Cathy) of Reidsville, NC; daughters, Katherine Stephens of Mebane, NC, Deborah Laycock (Ken) of Canada, and Linda Kennedy of Canada; brother, Carl Outland (Shirley) of Creedmoor, NC; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2020 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Masks are recommended for attending the service.
