I was looking for an obituary in the newspapers and have not seen one. This is a service i would have gone to had I known about it. Doug was a good friend for most of my life and a good servant of the Lord. My sympathy, love, and concern to all of his family. Willis P. (Bill) Whichard

To the family, I am deeply saddened by the grief you are feeling. Knowing of God's love for you, continue to look to him when " he will wipe out all tears from our eyes, death, suffering, and pain will be no more. " - Revelation 21:3,4 He says death is an " enemy that will be brought to nothing. " - 1 Corinthians 15:26 How comforting to know that this will be a thing of the past and through Christ Jesus a resurrection for our loved ones. love, jrfdog@gmail.com
Debbie Rogers Christian left a message on June 26, 2022:
I am so sorry to hear about Doug. He used to "baby sit" me for my parents, T. C. & Gladys Rogers, and I have so many memories of him as I grew up at the Gospel Center. He was always such a sweet, thoughtful person and he has certainly blessed the lives of many people over the years. I looked forward to Mama & Daddy driving me by Doug's house at Christmas, especially, because he outlined the house in lights. I wish I could be present on Tuesday but I had an appointment at the same time that was not allowed to be changed. You will all be in my prayers, Debbie Rogers Christian.
