This is a terrible loss for the city of Durham. Mike was always a pleasure to work with. I worked with him often for my printing needs. He even printed my wedding invitations and did a wonderful job. Mike will truly be missed.

I was at the Corcoran Street location of CCB/SunTrust bank and always appreciated Mrs. Driver coming in. Mike carried on the business after her death and I know she would have been proud of him. He was always helpful in adding spiral bindings to my music so the pages would turn more easily. For Lent this year McMannen did a devotional book and Spee-Dee-Que did a beautiful job of putting it together for the church. My thoughts and prayers for all of the Driver family.

You are with God, Mike. You always have been. You printed my booklets and my note-cards. You gave me discounts when I could hardly afford to do my art. You printed up a big package of Durham Downtown Postcards with your photography, and gave them to me for free, so I could have "Made in America" gifts, when I traveled to Shanghai, China last year! My deepest sympathy to all of Mike's relations. Mike, you have a big "family" here wishing you well on your next "journey!"

You will always be remembered as a real downtown Durham fixture with your winning smile, willingness to serve us at Self Help Credit Union, Downtown Durham, Inc. and many other businesses that grew to depend on the quality of your work. I will miss seeing you walk the streets making deliveries and oftentimes holding a little dog under your arm. You will be missed.

This troubled world will be a much sadder place without you, Mike. The few times that I saw you, you always were able to talk to anyone, make people laugh and feel comfortable. My heart goes out to the Driver family, because their loss is the greatest, but all who knew Mike will miss him with that easy smile and quick wit. Ride on through those pearly gates, Mike, until we all meet again.

Mike, it always seems that the most generous are the most robbed. You sir, have been robbed of time. Time to grow old with your wife, time to grow old with your children and grandchildren. I am saddened by your loss but grateful of the brief time we had to have known each other. May you rest in peace and may your family, through the grace of God, know solice and comfort. Suffer no more my friend. And may God bless your family.

Mike was a good neighbor and always had something interesting to talk about. I loved seeing his various motorcycles in front of his business on Saturdays. He almost always worked at least one extra day each week. I knew him first for his good and convenient printing but came to count him as a friend.
