Mike Inscoe

Mike Inscoe passed away Saturday, November 16 in his home surrounded by his family.
Mike was a lifelong resident of Durham. He graduated from Jordan High School in 1966 and attended Chowan College. He was a member of Lowes Grove Baptist Church and served his country in the Army Reserve.
Until his retirement, Mike and his brother Ray operated Tom Inscoe’s Wholesale Meat, a company started by their father in the late 60’s.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Thomas J. Inscoe.
He is survived by his mother LaNelle F. Inscoe; his wife of 43 years Paulette W. Inscoe; a daughter Wendy Inscoe; a son Mike Inscoe, Jr and wife Heather of Raleigh; four grandchildren, Dustin Allen, Morgan Allen, Avery Inscoe and Logan Inscoe; sister, Linda Grissom and her daughters Heather and Tara Grissom; brother Ray Inscoe and his wife Joanie and daughter Audrie Inscoe. Mike also leaves behind a number of treasured friends that were an important part of his life.
A memorial service will be held Saturday November 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Lowes Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Forest Gale officiating.
The family will receive visitors immediately following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lowes Grove Baptist Church, 4430 S. Alston Ave. Durham, NC 27713, Duke Home Care & Hospice, 4321 Medical Park Drive, Suite 101 Durham, NC 27704, or to the charity of choice.
