Nellie Cashwell Pruitt

BUTNER- Mrs. Nellie Cashwell Pruitt, 92, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, April 8, 2020

Mrs. Pruitt was born March 24, 1928 to the late Joe and Armelie Cashwell in Fayetteville, NC. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Butner for over 60 years and a member of Ruth Helms prayer group. Mrs. Pruitt did in home childcare for years. She was very involved with her church for many years and enjoyed cooking food at the church. Mrs. Pruitt was an accomplished seamstress and loved making clothing for people. Most of all she loved her Lord, her family and church. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and church members. Mrs. Pruitt will be remembered as a God loving woman and wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Pruitt is preceded in death by her first husband, James E. Faircloth; second husband, Joseph Keller Pruitt; parents, Joe and Armelie Cashwell; daughter, Judy Faircloth; brothers, Hazel, Troy, Oscar, Alvin and Frank Cashwell; sisters, Carrie Maness and Evelyn Honeystuffle.

Mrs. Pruitt is survived by her sons, Joseph Faircloth, Thomas Faircloth, Jeffrey Faircloth and John Faircloth (Valerie); sister, Betsy McLead (Bragg); grandchildren, Angela Cavanaugh (Jamie), Bridgett Faircloth, Amanda Faircloth, Jared Faircloth, Ryan Faircloth and Aaron Faircloth; great-grandchildren, Lily-Ann and Houston Blume and other loving family members.

A private graveside service will be held at Carolina Memorial Gardens. Hudson Funeral Home will offer the public an opportunity to stop by and view or sign a register book during normal business hours.
