Norma Jean Cone

DURHAM Mrs. Norma Jean Cone, 84, of Durham, died on Wednesday, May 30, 2018.
Mrs. Cone was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late Joseph Clarence Cone and Beulah Pace Cone. She was an Administative Assistant for Spears, Barnes, Wainio & Whaley L. L.P. In earlier years she was employed with Eastern Airlines as a Reservationists. She was former Miss Durham, 1956. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and sang in choir. She studied voice soprano in New York and loved Fashion, dressing up and driving.
She is survived by her daughter, Anna DuPen of Quilcene, WA; three grandchildren, Maggie Hemphill-Paulbaso of Bainbridge Island, WA, Johnny Williams and Christopher Grasser; four great-grandchildren, Hiedi, Benjamin, Levi Hemphill and Mark Grasser.
Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
