Norman Earl May

MAYDURHAM Mr. Norman Earl May, 83, of Durham, died on Sunday, September 19, 2010. Mr. May was born in Washington DC to the late Joseph W. and Pearl Woodard May. He had been living in Durham for the past 19 years. He served in the U. S. Army and was a retired Pipefitter. He was a member of Pipefitters Local 725 for more than 55 years. He was a member of Hope Valley Baptist Church.He is survived by his wife, Margaret May; three sons, Robert E. May of Thomson, Ga., Richard May of Tallahassee, Fla. and David May of Durham; one sister, Phyllis Freeman; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.A graveside service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
