Norman Paul Shambley

SHAMBLEYDURHAM Mr. Norman Paul Shambley, 74, of Durham, died on Monday, February 7, 2011.Mr. Shambley was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of the late Norman K. and Lula Johnson Shambley. He retired from Triangle Electric Motors. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Merita K. Shambley; three daughters, Trisha Newton (Billy), Paula Groves (Randy) and Angela Jones (Justess); two sisters, Goldie McCorkle, Sammie Thomas and two grandchildren, Danielle and Trey.Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. Roger Wall and Pastor Jim Turnbough. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial gifts be made to Faith Baptist Church, 3321 Cheek Road, Durham, NC 27704 or Immanuel Free Will Baptist Church, 2013 Ellis Road, Durham, NC 27703.
