Paul Eason Watkins

DURHAM Paul E. Watkins, 95, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2013 at Spring Arbor of Durham.
A lifelong resident of Durham, he was the son of the late Newton B. Watkins, Sr. and Addie Partin Watkins. Paul graduated from Bethesda High School in 1938 and proudly served his country during WWII in the U. S. Army Air Forces. He was a member of Angier Avenue Baptist Church and retired from a long career with the National Cash Register Company.
He was also preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Helen Mann Watkins, as well as his sister and four brothers.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Paulette W. Inscoe, granddaughter, Wendy Inscoe, grandson, Mike Inscoe, Jr. and wife Heather and four great-grandchildren, Dustin Allen, Morgan Allen, Avery Inscoe and Logan Inscoe.
A visitation will be held Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. The family will have a private service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite church or charity. A simple act of kindness this holiday season would be a fitting tribute.
