CHAPEL HILL Mrs. Peggy Lee Spivey, 80, of 2913 Green Hill Drive, died at Durham Regional Hospital on Tuesday, January 22, 2013.Mrs. Spivey was a native of Durham, the daughter of the late Walter Lee Vickers and Catherine Ann Coe Vickers. She retired from Duke University Medical Center. She was a member of Palmers Grove United Methodist Church in Hillsborough. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Timothy Vickers, Walter Lee Vickers and Tommy Vickers.She is survived by her husband of 51 years, James Earl Spivey; one son, Larry Wayne Wilson of Durham; three daughters, Donna Wilson Lockamy and husband, Steve, of Hillsborough, Cheryl Denise Wilson Lane of Chapel Hill and Regina Spivey Dufresne and husband, Ron of Chapel Hill; one brother, Jimmy Vickers and wife, Linda of Durham; one sister, Lynette Vickers of Durham; stepsons, James Ricky Spivey of Oklahoma and Rodney Mark Spivey of Georgia; eight grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel, officiated by Rev. Steve Taylor and Rev. Dawn Davis. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.Active pallbearers will be Joshua Honeycutt, Matthew Wilson,Vince Wilson,Steve Lockamy,Patrick Lockamy and Joe Sands.The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable.
