Phyllis Benson Tranchese Wiggins

DURHAM Mrs. Phyllis Benson Tranchese Wiggins, 58, of Durham, died on Monday, June 23, 2014.
Phyllis was a native and lifelong resident of Durham. She was employed as an Attorney with the Attorney General’s Office. She was past president of the Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leon Benson. Prior to her illness she enjoyed running 5 k’s and relaxing at the beach.

She is survived by her husband, Gary L. Wiggins; son, Luigi Tranchese and wife, Jennifer of Durham; her mother, Nell High Benson; sister, Brenda Benson of Emerald Isle and her English Mastiff dog, Cody.

Graveside services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
