RIGSBEEDURHAM Rev. Russell Roosevelt Rigsbee, 75, of Durham, died on Thursday, May 19, 2011.He served in both U. S. Coast Guard and the U. S. Air Force. He was the minister of the Lighthouse in California before retiring. He was a member of the Columbus Ave. Baptist Church and attended the Southwestern Seminary School. He attended the Page Road Baptist Church and taught the New Life Sunday School Class.He is survived by his wife, June Rigsbee; three daughters, Leslie Green of Calif., Terri Harvey of Brandon, Ms., Carol Sue Rigsbee of Monroe, La.; step-daughter, Charmaine Burke of Kansas City, Mo; half-brothers, Johnny Rigsbee of Timberlake; step-brother, Ray Duncan of Houston, Texas; half-sister, Deborah Rigsbee of Timberlake; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and 1 step-grandchildren.A chapel memorial service will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Lois Ferguson, 1312 Lynn Road. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Columbus Ave. Baptist Church, PO Box 345, Waco, TX 76703 for Senior Citizen Mission Fund.
