Ricky Linwood Manning

FRANKLINTON Mr. Ricky Linwood Manning, 57, of Franklinton, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018. Ricky was born in Durham, the son of William Linwood Manning and the late Carolyn Pridgen Manning. He was employed as the Facility Director at Bethesda Baptist Church. Ricky was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School. He was a disciple of Christ who loved his church family. He loved Camaros and Harley Davidson Motorcycles and was an avid Duke Basketball fan.He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Tara Manning; his father, William “Buddy” Manning; son, Tyler Craig Manning (Jana); daughter, Tori Nicole Manning; bonus son, Joshua Ressler; bonus daughter, Milena Nelsen; brothers, Tony Manning (Kathy) and Mark Manning (Melissa); grandchildren, Lexi, Luke, Mason and Mila.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Bible Baptist Church in Creedmoor. Rev. Jonathan Barbee and Rev. B. J. Brantley will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ernie Jackson, Phil Pope, Robert Swaim, Scott Freeman, Mike Cifers and John Ogburn.The family will receive friends on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.Flowers are acceptable.
