ORANGE-Mr. Robert Banks Hobby, 96 of 624 Jones Ferry Rd. died on Saturday, February 26, 2011. Mr. Hobby was of the Baptist faith, former member of Carrboro Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Joseph and Hattie Maddry Hobby.He is survived by 2 sister-in-laws, Louise Hobby Earp of Wendell; Mildred O. Hobby of Spartanburg S.C.; several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Orange United Methodist Church Cemetery in Chapel Hill. Dr. Don J. Christian will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the graveside. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to N.C. Council Of The Blind, 408 Ward St., Graham, NC 27253..
