Rosalyn Linda Chandler Basden

BASDENDURHAM Mrs. Rosalyn Linda Chandler Basden, 62, of 1908 Bethesda Avenue, died on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, after a 5 year courageous battle with cancer.Mrs. Basden was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late Coy and Ruby Chandler. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Chandler and sisters, Margie Durham, Joyce Rigsbee, Barbara Freeman and Helen Broughton.She is survived by her husband, Larry Basden; two sons, Mickey Dwayne High of Cary and Bobby Wayne High of Durham; one daughter, Wendy Basden Rigsbee and husband, David of Durham; three brothers, Melvin Chandler, Ricky Chandler and Douglas Chandler; two sisters, Shirley Randleman and Belita Campbell; grandchildren, Nicholas High, Ashton, Adam, and Cassie Myers, David Rigsbee Jr. and Jessica Rigsbee and great-grandchildren, Mikayla Crumbley and Caleb Myers.Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Pastor Donnie Cash will officiate. Burial will be in Brier Creek Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home, 1908 Bethesda Ave. Flowers are acceptable.
