Rufus Calvin Rigsbee

VILLA RICA, GA- Mr. Rufus Calvin Rigsbee, 86, passed away Monday, January 13, 2020.
Mr. Rigsbee was born on October 31, 1933 to John and Mary Rigsbee in Durham, NC. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines. Rufus was loved by all of his family and he loved his dogs. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
Mr. Rigsbee was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Rigsbee; daughter, Rhonda Blalock; sister, Violet “Polly” Lumley; grandchildren, Tonya Bryant; and great-grandchild, Haley Bryant. He is survived by his partner, Cynthia Johnson; daughter, Jan Rigsbee Markham of Rougemont; brother, Jerry Rigsbee of Durham, NC; grandchildren, Megan Clayton of Durham, NC, Lauren Markham of Raleigh, NC; great-grandchild, Kameron Bryant; and niece, Kimmie Wingate-Brown.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held prior to service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Officiating will be Reverend Hugh O’Shields.
