Russell Rusty McCauley Scarborough

SCARBOROUGH, JR.DURHAM Mr. Russell “Rusty” McCauley Scarborough, Jr., 61, of Durham, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 13, 2011.Mr. Scarborough was a native and resident of Durham, the son of the late Russell McCauley Scarborough, Sr. and Virginia Thomas S. Teasley. He was a Licensed Insurance and Financial Advisor for over 35 years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and served during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1975. He attended Grove Park Chapel. He is survived by his wife, Jane Wheeler Scarborough; daughter, Kristia Scarborough Murray of Plattsburg, NY; stepsons, Christopher Partin and wife, Karen of Buford, Ga. and Andrew Partin and wife, Tracy of Whitsett, NC; one sister, Toni Fuller and husband, Rick of Durham and seven grandchildren, Kayla Murray, Jodi Murray, Camden Partin, Grace Partin, Molly Partin, Cooper Partin and Lucy Partin.Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel, officiated by Rev. Tim Wheeler and Rev. Dale Brooks. Burial will be in Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be David Latta, Cliff Detweiler, Stuart Griffin, Brent Wheeler, Dick Barber and Aaron Wheeler. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home. The family would like to extend a special thanks to our friends and family who helped with Rusty’s caregiving and also to Dr. David Reardon, Harry, Maggie, Cathy and the staff at 1-K and also the Wake County Hospice.
