Ruth was a warm, funny, delightfully quirky character. I was really saddened to hear of her passing. We connected from playing indoor soccer years ago and continually through playing ffootball for falls after that. Always a passionate sports fan, I could count on an original, funny observation from her. Rest in peace Ruthie.

Anna and I were extremely saddened by the news of Ruth’s passing. She was a Quintiles colleague of both of ours. We loved Kay’s kindness and warmth and shared a love for sports, especially the Hurricanes. Our condolences to her family.

I worked with Ruth at Quintiles and she was always friendly to be around. Being a fellow Tar Heel fan, we would discuss the upcoming season of football and basketball. My condolences to her family and friends.

Dear Kay Family, I was so sorry to hear about Ruth's passing. While we were not close friends, we were work colleagues at Quintiles and I have missed her since she left for other opportunities. I always enjoyed Ruth's company in meetings and at lunch. Please know I have prayed for your comfort and joyful memories of Ruth. Sincerely yours, Terry

I'm deeply saddened by Ruth's death. I was among some who experience the war hospitality of her parents when I was new to the area. I remember cheering her taking of the grueling exam for the diplomatic core. I remember her presence at Laurie Rays pig pick-in just this past fall. I am and may others be comforted by Edna St. Vincent Milay's poem, Dirge without Music as we remember the music of friendship and laughter and love. PAL, CDB
